8" (200 mm) Steel Garden Edging CAD File
Using these CAD files, you can have your local steel supplier create garden edging out of sheet steel using their in-house plasma cutter. Bypass the supplier’s CAD fee with these files and save a bundle on garden edging by getting it directly from your local steel supplier. (This price is only for the CAD files, not for a physical product.)
If 8” doesn’t suit your taste, we also have the edging available in 6”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”, and 18” heights.
Two versions of CAD files (available in both .dxf and .dwg formats) are included in the .zip file you will be sent, which detail the cut lines for a standard 4ft x 8ft or 4ft x 10ft steel sheet:
46” long pieces, 552” or 46’-0” total length per 4’x8’ sheet
46” long pieces, 690” or 57’-6” total length per 4’x10’ sheet
I recommend ordering the edging in 14 gauge thickness using ASTM A606, Type 4 or A588 (COR-TEN/weathering steel). The 14 gauge steel is a good balance between bend-ability and stiffness for hammering in. See this video for installation instructions.
